The event occurred at 4 PM on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, in Prey Chan village, located in Banteay Meanchey province. According to the confirmation from H.E. Oum Reatrey, Governor of Banteay Meanchey Province, Thai troops used guns to fire into Cambodian territory, causing 5 Cambodian citizens to be injured.
His Excellency added that the event occurred in the border-adjacent area, which is a disputed area recently. Cambodian security forces were immediately dispatched to inspect the situation after the incident to prevent further resistance and additional clashes.
