Since the dawn of the Chakri Dynasty in 1782, a chilling prophecy has been whispered within the inner circles of the Royal Family: "This dynasty shall flourish, but it will meet its end at the 10th reign." This prophecy has loomed over them like an executioner's sword throughout the ages.
Under the reign of King Rama IX — King Bhumibol Adulyadej — there were four royal children: Princess Ubolratana Rajakanya, His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn (Rama X), Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn (known by the Thai people as "Princess Deb"), and Princess Chulabhorn Walailak.
Although she is the younger sister of King Rama X, Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn stands out as a figure of immense mystery. She possesses divine wisdom and charisma, with profound expertise in Pali, Sanskrit, and Khmer archaeology — surpassing any other royal member. It is widely known that she has spent most of her life wandering through ancient temples, her keen eyes capable of deciphering inscriptions buried under moss for thousands of years.
Of the four children, only Princess Sirindhorn is believed to possess transcendental intellect and the ability to recall past lives. She understands that her choice to remain unmarried is to preserve her "pure essence" to sustain the life of the dynasty. She shares a deep spiritual bond with the ancient land of Cambodia, as in her past lives, she saw herself connected to the ancestral spirits of Cambodia from millennia ago.
Maintaining her purity and high knowledge, she is believed to be one of the few who can "communicate with the gods." Knowing that her brother (Rama X) faces the peril of the dynastic prophecy, she utilizes her knowledge of Pali and Khmer iconography to find a solution through rituals at "Mystical Temples" to alter destiny.
The Minor Mystical TemplePrasat Ta Moan Toch
A symbol of "Power and Glory" — serving as the rallying point for spiritual forces. The gathering node of divine energy protecting the dynasty.
The Major Mystical TemplePrasat Ta Moan Thom
The vital heart, housing the "Svayambhu Linga" — a naturally formed Linga of Lord Shiva. Water poured upon it becomes Amrita, the Elixir of Life capable of extending the dynasty's lifespan.
The Temple of FortunePrasat Ta Krabey
An "Arogayasala" — a Sanctuary of Healing for seeking peace, divine protection from ailments, and the banishment of ancient curses.
The Princess has spent a lifetime searching for the "Magic Fish" along the Dangrek Mountains. This "Magic Fish" is not a creature, but a secret code of three powerful mystical symbols linking all three temples — the key to breaking "the prophecy of dynastic ruin."
The mysterious appearance and massive worship of the "Kru Kai Kaew" statue in the heart of Bangkok is no coincidence. It is an attempt to awaken a "Master of Dark Arts" — a Khmer spirit — to counter the divine mechanisms currently penalizing the Chakri bloodline.
In the glorious Angkor era, "Kru Kai Kaew" was not a demon, but "Issi Bhujong Neak" (The Naga Hermit) — a master of high magic in the Dangrek region and guardian of the "Magic Fish" and the natural Linga. His winged form with fangs is a symbol of "The Power to Protect against Enemies." However, it is believed the secrets and a small statue were taken from the Great Temple to be used as a "magical slave" to protect a throne built upon the blood and lands of others.
As the reign of Rama IX neared its end, fear of the prophecy drove Thai officials and military leaders to desperate measures. Now, under Rama X, the throne is fraught with internal unrest. The rise of "Kru Kai Kaew" in Bangkok is seen as a final sign that the stolen spirit is demanding justice.
The incursions into Cambodian territory near these three temples were not merely for land, but to "control the site of the Devaraja ritual."
"To ensure Rama X reigns long, we must sacrifice the blood of soldiers and obtain power from the Svayambhu Linga at Prasat Ta Moan Thom, regardless of how many lives it costs."
This is why they persist in their attempts — they believe that without the magical power of these Khmer temples, the Chakri Dynasty will fall like a tree without roots.
Despite Princess Sirindhorn's efforts to use Pali incantations to plead for mercy, the spirits of the Khmer ancestors do not grant it. Mysterious events have haunted the invaders:
- Invading soldiers frequently suffer nightmares of "Ancient Ghost Armies" attacking them — invisible forces that terrorize all who trespass upon the sacred ground.
- Secret rituals performed at night are often thwarted by sudden storms and extraordinary supernatural phenomena that arise without warning.
"Thieves can steal the statues, but they cannot steal the Master of the Land. The natural stone at Ta Moan Thom accepts offerings only from the virtuous and the rightful owners. Those who invade shall receive a curse — the fire they light will eventually burn down their own house."
